About

Families Affected by Autism

Everyone needs a holiday. But as a family affected by Autism, going away can be more stressful than staying at home. Families Affected by Autism (FABA) has been set up to build a specialist holiday centre – a fun, caring and supportive environment for people with disabilities and those who care for them.

Survey

We need your help. We’ve put a survey together to understand what you want from the centre to make sure we provide for the widest range of families that are affected by autism. Your feedback will be crucial to secure funding and shape the centre.

Donate

We are raising money to get the project started. Initially, we need £20k to fund a detailed research project. Any donations, big or small, would be gratefully received.

Support in whatever way you can give it is greatly appreciated and will help ensure that we can build the best facilities for those with autism. Supporting not just the child but the whole family in an environment that is safe, secure and understanding.

We have found that holidays with autistic children can be very difficult and challenging our aim is to make holidays with autistic children as relaxing as possible by providing relevant high quality support and advice for the whole family.

As a family affected by autism we’ve found that holidays have had unsuitable accommodation that is not secure and can be full of unhelpful ornaments. We want to combine secure stylish accommodation with play faclities and relaxation areas for parents to enjoy. We will also support the siblings of family members with autism by providing a wide range of fun activities for them to get involved with.

For all these reasons it is really important that you help us by completing our Survey. So please take a few minutes and complete the survey so we can see what people require from a holiday.
